Kenneth MacKenzie, a proud piper and fiddler, was raised in a family deeply steeped in Gaelic traditions and musical heritage in Mabou, Cape Breton. His exceptional musical prowess has made him a sought-after performer at local dances, concerts, and festivals, both in his hometown and beyond.

As a highly regarded recording artist, Kenneth, alongside his brother Angus (Dàimh, Seudan), co-created the album Pìob is Fìdheall, a work that garnered nominations for prestigious accolades such as the Music Nova Scotia and East Coast Music Awards. Beyond his musical pursuits, Kenneth serves as the Director of Education and VP of Beinn Mhàbu at Colaisde na Gàidhlig and is a founding Director of Taigh Sgoile na Drochaide, the first Gaelic immersion school outside of Scotland. Today, Kenneth resides in Mabou with his wife Jenny and their three young children, continuing to enrich the cultural landscape of his beloved community through his artistry and educational endeavours.
