ABOUT

Blueberry Jam is an award winning festival that started in 2019 as an Outdoor Concert at Big Belle Farm, a 170 year old heritage farm owned by Paul and Adele Meagher on Mabou Ridge, NS. The event, formed through a collaboration between Big Belle Farm and local born musician, Rankin MacInnis, is a way to celebrate and promote both the wild blueberry industry of Cape Breton/Nova Scotia as well as the incredible music of the province.

is an electrifying celebration of music, culture, and community that has been captivating audiences since 2019. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mabou Ridge held on a a 170-year-old heritage farm owned by Paul and Adele Meagher , this festival has become a must-attend event for music enthusiasts and festival-goers from all over. Past years have seen performances from renowned artists such as Rankin  MacInnis & the  Broken  Reeds, HEATHER   RANKIN, The Town Heroes, VILLAGES, Brett Matthew, Lennie Gallant, CARMEN   TOWNSEND and the Tom Fun Orchestra creating an atmosphere of pure musical magic that resonates with the soul of Mabou and its visitors..

Year after year, the Blueberry Jam Music Festival continues to grow, attracting a diverse lineup of talented musicians and expanding its reach to a wider audience. What began as a humble gathering of local musicians has blossomed into a dynamic festival that showcases a mix of traditional and contemporary music. With an ever-growing roster of performers and an expanding array of activities, workshops, and local food, the festival has become a vibrant celebration of music and community spirit in the heart of Mabou’s cultural landscape.

In 2020, Blueberry Jam also added 'the Harvest Series'. The series takes the music from the field and into the barn over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend to celebrate the end of the harvest season.
